Where did Leana Wen go to school? Dr. Wen attended the University of California, Los Angeles, before earning her MD from Washington University in St. Louis. She also earned an MSc in Public Health from the University of Oxford, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. Leana Wen’s Advocacy for Women's Health and Reproductive Rights One of Dr. Wen's most influential roles came when she became the president of Planned Parenthood in 2018, making history as the first physician to lead the organization in nearly 50 years. During her tenure, Dr. Wen worked tirelessly to expand access to reproductive health services, particularly for marginalized communities. She advocated for the protection of abortion rights, birth control access, and comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare.
