Derek T. Anderson, a 35-year-old resident of Bourbon, IN, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of a crash in Kosciusko County on April 30, 2025.
The accident occurred around 8:00 a.m. on County Road 300 West, approximately half a mile north of County Road 1350 North.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson was driving southbound when his vehicle crossed the center line, left the roadway, and collided with a signpost and guardrail. The vehicle then rolled onto its top in a water-filled ditch.
Sadly, Anderson succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. The Kosciusko County FACT Team is investigating the incident.
Family and friends have shared their grief, with many expressing their heartfelt condolences online. The loss of Derek has left a deep void in the Bourbon community.
