Jamie L. Franks, 52, of Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, tragically lost their life in a two-vehicle collision on Route 71 on Monday, May 5th, 2025.
The accident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. in Jackson Township when Franks was driving a 2014 Honda CRV westbound. The vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 1997 Dodge pickup truck driven by a 21-year-old from Kunkletown. Despite the best efforts of responders, Franks was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Dodge truck sustained only minor injuries and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono for treatment.
This heartbreaking incident has left the local community in mourning. Family, friends, and neighbors have expressed their condolences and shared memories of Franks, whose life was cut short far too soon. A memorial service will be arranged by the family, with details expected to be shared soon.
