Jeffery L. Delph, Motorcyclist from Jonesville, VA, Tragically Killed in Scott County Crash

Jeffery L. Delph, a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Jonesville, Virginia, tragically passed away on May 4th, 2025, following a crash in Scott County.

The Virginia State Police reported that the accident occurred at 5:05 p.m. on Route 58 when Jeffery, riding a 2002 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle, attempted to pass several vehicles. Unfortunately, his motorcycle collided with a 1997 Buick Century that was making a left turn at the intersection of Route 884.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, Jeffery later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Buick Century was unharmed in the crash.

This sudden loss has left family and friends devastated. A close-knit community in Jonesville mourns the passing of Jeffery, whose life was tragically cut short while pursuing a ride he enjoyed.

The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to understand the circumstances surrounding the crash.
