Melanie R. McCole Stickney, a cherished member of the Twin Lakes, WI community, passed away on May 5, 2025, at the age of 41, following a courageous four-year battle with illness. Melanie’s infectious smile and unwavering positivity made her a beacon of light to all who knew her.
Born on November 27, 1983, in Burlington, WI, Melanie was the daughter of Joseph and Patricia (Nienhaus) McCole. On September 26, 2021, she married her loving husband, Jonathan Stickney. Together, they shared a deep connection and created a life full of joy and love.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Stout with a degree in hospitality, Melanie found her true calling in Human Resources at Fait Distribution in Burlington. Her dedication to her work and her motto of maintaining a Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) inspired those around her.
Melanie was also a proud dog mom, deeply devoted to her beloved pets, Kevin and Odin. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, her parents, Joseph and Patricia McCole, her brother Tim (Hannah) McCole, and many extended family members who will remember her warmth and kindness.
Family and friends will gather to honor Melanie’s life at a funeral service on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home in Twin Lakes, WI. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Randall, WI.
In a tribute to her memory, Melanie’s family has requested that memorials be made to Metavivor Research and Support Inc. to further the fight against cancer.
