Michael Crandall, a 61-year-old from Oxford, tragically lost his life on April 29, 2025, following a motorcycle and school bus crash in Oxford, New York. The crash occurred at around 3:35 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 35/State Route 220 and County Road 32, where the motorcycle, traveling westbound, collided with the school bus, which was traveling northbound.
Crandall was rushed to UHS Wilson Medical Center in critical condition, but despite efforts, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash. A 12-year-old student aboard the bus was evaluated at Chenango Memorial Hospital but reported no injuries. Both the bus driver and an aide were also evaluated at the scene.
