Shaniqua Lajae "Nicci" Taylor, a cherished member of the Fayetteville, North Carolina community, passed away unexpectedly on April 18th, 2025, at the age of 47. Her death has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew her.
Shaniqua was predeceased by her parents, Shirley Jackson Willis and Elder Ronald Wayne Willis, as well as her beloved pet, Sasha Fluffy Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Taylor Jr., her children, Da’Naijah Taylor, Dan’Valique Taylor, Kei’liah Taylor (David Darrow), and A’Mya Taylor, as well as her grandson, Javier Darrow. Shaniqua’s sisters, Ronette Barrett (Christian), Ebony King (Wallace), and Monica Kessel (Chris), along with her mother-in-law, Cynthia Taylor, and several siblings-in-law, also mourn her loss. She is deeply missed by her many loving godchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The community has been pouring out condolences, with one close friend expressing on social media, "Shaniqua was such a bright light in all our lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength."
Viewing and services for Shaniqua will be held at Bethel Restoration Center, located at 6205 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188. The viewing will take place on Friday, May 2nd, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a celebration of life scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, at 12:00 PM.
Shaniqua’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she touched.
