Alejandro Carrasco, Respected Flight Instructor and Beloved Community Member, Dies Tragically in Helicopter Crash in Boynton Beach, FL
Alejandro Carrasco tragically passed away on March 24, 2026, following a fatal helicopter crash in Boynton Beach, Florida, leaving family, friends, and the local community in deep sorrow.
Carrasco, 28, from West Palm Beach, was serving as a flight instructor at the time of the incident when the Robinson R44 helicopter he was aboard went down and struck a warehouse around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Witness Rhett Savidge described seeing the helicopter spiraling downward uncontrollably, emphasizing the sudden and shocking nature of the accident.
Authorities confirmed that another individual, 52-year-old Bryan Menna of Michigan, also lost their life in the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have launched investigations to determine factors contributing to the accident, including mechanical conditions, environmental factors, and recent pilot activities.
Friends and community members expressed heartfelt condolences on social media. One wrote, "My heart goes out to Alejandro’s family and friends during this unimaginable loss," while another commented, "Praying for everyone affected by this tragedy."
