Allyson Harvey, Beloved Girl Guides Leader and Community Advocate, Passes Away at Age 18 in Queensland, Australia

Allyson Harvey, born July 16, 2007, of Queensland, Australia, passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving a lasting impact on her community and everyone who knew her.

Allyson dedicated 13 years to the Girl Guides across Happy Valley, Kenmore, and Moggill Districts, inspiring peers and leaders with her kindness, energy, and unwavering commitment to service.

She contributed to countless projects, including selling Girl Guide biscuits, participating in Snow Trek and Boomerang Bags initiatives, and representing her community as a medal bearer at the INAS Games.

Allyson also actively took part in ANZAC City Marches, Gunfire Breakfasts, camps, and campfires, bringing warmth, joy, and thoughtfulness to every activity she joined.

Known for her genuineness and respectfulness, Allyson had a unique ability to uplift those around her, leaving small yet unforgettable impressions, like her innovative pairing of jam and Vegemite on damper.

Guiding was a family tradition, with her older sister Emma serving as a Leader and her mother Cat as District Manager. Together, they shared a dedication to community service that Allyson carried throughout her life.
