Sabine Pass Community Mourns Cesar Rojas, Emmanuel Reynosa Rivas, Angel Dominguez, And Osvaldo Alvarez After Fatal Highway 87 Van Crash
Cesar Rojas, 28, of Baytown, Emmanuel Reynosa Rivas, 27, Angel Dominguez, 28, and Osvaldo Alvarez, 27, died after a white van crashed late Monday afternoon on Highway 87, also known as South Gulfway, in Sabine Pass, Texas.
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that four people died at the scene, while several other occupants received serious medical care after the collision.
Emergency crews sent four Lifeflight helicopters, and responders transported survivors to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital, and other nearby medical centers.
Communities across Sabine Pass, Baytown, and Southeast Texas continue to support the families, friends, and neighbors grieving this loss.
Investigators continue to review what led to the crash, and officials have not released further findings as of May 19, 2026.
