Esequiel Flores, 24, of Caldwell, died after a late-night single-vehicle crash on Highway 47 near the RELLIS campus in Bryan, Texas.

Bryan Police Department officials identified Flores as the driver involved in the Saturday night incident while traveling northbound on Highway 47 toward Highway 21.

Authorities said the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed while investigators continue to review what led to the incident.

Officials confirmed that no other vehicles took part in the crash.

Emergency responders took Flores to a nearby hospital, where Flores later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident led officers to temporarily close Highway 47 while they reviewed the scene and gathered early details.

Police reopened the roadway at about 1 a.m. Sunday after completing the initial work at the site.

Investigators continue to examine possible factors, including speed, road conditions, and vehicle movement.

Friends, relatives, and community members now mourn the loss of Esequiel Flores as they remember a life ended far too soon.
