Evan Dean Fritschy, a cherished young individual with a promising future, tragically passed away on January 22nd, 2026. At the age of 23, Evan's death has left those who knew them heartbroken.
Evan was deeply loved by all who crossed their path. Known for their infectious smile and laughter, Evan had a remarkable ability to bring comfort and joy to everyone around them. Whether cracking jokes or engaging in playful banter, Evan’s sense of humor never failed to lift spirits.
A graduate of Bonney Lake High School and Enumclaw High School, Evan pursued a career in fire science at Bates Technical College with aspirations of becoming a firefighter. Their dedication and passion for helping others were evident in everything they did.
Evan’s legacy lives on through the many memories shared by friends and family. Saylor Watts, who had been in a relationship with Evan for almost three years, expressed in a heartfelt message that they had countless plans and dreams for the future. "Evan was someone whose heart was as big as their laugh, and they will be missed more than words can express."
A celebration of Evan’s life is being planned, with the help of loved ones, at Doyle’s Public House in Tacoma, WA. This event, which will be open to all who wish to honor Evan’s memory, is scheduled for the end of April or beginning of May 2026.
