Missouri State Highway Patrol Corporal Gary T. Daniels died on May 30, 2026, after an emergency 911 call at approximately 2:55 p.m. directed responders to Callaway County Road 395, east of U.S. Highway 63.
Deputies from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office reached the scene and joined state and county officials as they secured the area and began formal procedures.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Callaway County Coroner’s Office continue to review the circumstances while limiting details to protect the process.
