James Helms Remembered After Recent Passing As Blake Faces Funeral, Probate, Travel, And Estate Responsibilities Alone
James Helms recently passed, leaving Blake, age 35, to manage the affairs of a last living parent during a deeply difficult period.
A fundraiser created on May 18, 2026, by JT Helms of Sweetwater, Tennessee, seeks support for Blake after James Helms left no life insurance and no will.
The fundraiser reported $930 raised toward a $6.5K goal through 17 donations, with funds intended for funeral and memorial expenses, probate and attorney fees, filing and appraisal costs, property upkeep, utilities, travel between Michigan and Tennessee, and remaining estate obligations.
The post said the estate carries more debts than assets, which has placed added financial and administrative pressure on Blake while court processes, paperwork, and difficult decisions continue.
