Liam Pinheiro, a five-year-old preschool student in the Acushnet Public School District, died after a vehicle struck them during a bike ride on Cherokee Street in New Bedford around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Family and neighbors remember Liam for an energetic spirit, a bright smile, and the cheerful greeting “Sup Bro” that became a beloved part of daily life.
