Mark Robertson, a cherished radio voice in the Lowcountry and Savannah communities, passed away peacefully in the early hours of April 25, 2026.

A longtime resident of Bluffton, Robertson spent nearly half a century on the air, becoming a trusted companion for generations of listeners on KIX96 Savannah and later 98.7 The River.

Known for his warm delivery and relatable presence, he guided listeners through morning commutes, shared local news, and created a sense of connection across the community.

Originally from New York, Robertson arrived in the South in the late 1970s and quickly became an integral part of Savannah and Bluffton life, admired for his dedication, optimism, and genuine care for local issues.

After announcing his retirement in 2025 following 48 years of broadcasting, he left an enduring legacy that shaped the sound and spirit of regional radio.
