Maxwell "Max" Robert Mooney, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 31.
Mooney was born on July 9, 1994, and leaves a family who will remember a life rooted in love, family, and community.
Family members include parents Brian Mooney and Leah Mooney Knaebel, spouse Emily Mooney Ireland, children Madden Mooney, Dean Mooney, and Baby Mooney, sisters Mallory Hood and Madison Jenkins, grandmother Dalles Mooney, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.
The family also remembers grandparents Robert Knaebel, Carolyn Knaebel, and Michael Mooney, stepfather Scott Dunn, and uncle Mike Knaebel.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711.
A celebration of life will follow on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location.
