Samir Ahmad Mayes, of Lima, Ohio, passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 22.
Born on March 30, 2004, Samir leaves cherished memories with family, friends, and the wider Lima community.
Loved ones include parents Leslie J. Mayes and Carla T. Dukes, child Serenity Tru'Royalty Mayes, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godmother Aretha Glenn, brother Steven Edwards II, cousin DeAndre "Dino" Mayes, and many close cousins.
Samir was preceded in passing by brothers Rico Fields and Jacobi Walker and great-grandparents Carl and Mildred Mayes.
Visitation will take place Friday, May 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 110 W 11th St, Lima, OH 45804.
A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the same location under the care of Jones-Clark Funeral Home Inc.
