Sophie Klippel, Beloved 23-Year-Old Charlotte Resident, Tragically Loses Life in Plaza Midwood Hit‑and‑Run Accident

Sophie Klippel, 23, tragically died Thursday night after a hit‑and‑run collision in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on March 12 at the intersection of The Plaza and Hamorton Place when a Honda Odyssey ran a stop sign and collided with the Kia Soul in which Sophie was a passenger.

Two other passengers were injured and taken to local hospitals, while Sophie was found outside the vehicle. Emergency crews attempted life-saving measures, but she passed away at the scene.
