Taygan McAllister, 20, of Waldoboro Remembered After Fatal May 12, 2026 Rockport Road Collision on Rockville Street
Authorities said Taygan McAllister, 20, of nearby Waldoboro, died after a two-vehicle collision around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, on Rockville Street in Rockport.
The collision happened near house number 258, and first responders pronounced Taygan dead at the scene.
Police kept the area active for several hours as crews redirected traffic, cleared debris, and gathered measurements for the ongoing review.
Officials said speed likely played a role, while the person driving the second vehicle reported no injuries.
Investigators have not released the vehicle types, the other driver’s name, or whether weather or distraction contributed to the crash.
Waldoboro and Rockport community members now remember Taygan as a young neighbor, friend, and family member whose life ended far too soon.
