Isabella Bastardo Jiménez Remembered After Prince Edward Island School Bus Collision Near Dunstaffnage
Isabella Bastardo Jiménez, a beloved teen in Prince Edward Island, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, after a school bus-related collision near Dunstaffnage.
The incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, on Route 2, about 13 kilometres east of Charlottetown, as Isabella prepared to board a school bus.
Emergency teams provided care at the scene before Isabella was airlifted to a Halifax hospital for specialized treatment.
The Latinos Association of P.E.I. confirmed the loss, and Isabella’s parents shared gratitude through City Impact Church for the support shown by the community.
They also thanked the teams at IWK Health Centre in Halifax and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown for their compassionate care.
Friends, classmates, family members, and community members remember Isabella as a bright and deeply loved young person whose presence brought joy to many lives.
City Impact Church held a special service at the University of Prince Edward Island, and memorial service details will be announced later by the family.
