Ty Paulichuk, a beloved athlete and coach, tragically passed away, leaving a void in the Alberta volleyball community. His sudden death has deeply affected his family, friends, and athletes across the region.
Originally from Vegreville and later based in Edmonton, Ty’s love for volleyball shaped his life. He played for the Lakeland Rustlers, where he refined his skills and laid the foundation for his remarkable career. Ty’s journey in volleyball didn’t stop as a player. In 2018, he transitioned to coaching, impacting countless lives through his dedication and passion for the sport.
As a coach with Volleyball Alberta, Ty worked with athletes of all levels—from newcomers learning the basics to competitive players striving for excellence. His energy, mentorship, and belief in each individual athlete set him apart. Ty was more than just a coach—he was a mentor, a role model, and a friend to many.
Ty’s legacy will live on in the athletes he guided and the volleyball community he helped build. He will be remembered for his positivity, his guidance, and his passion for the game.
