Daniel Underwood passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night after suffering a heart attack in sleep while working out of town in South Bend, Indiana.

Daniel had been overseeing tile work at a new sports complex at Notre Dame University, continuing a long career as a committed journeyman tilesetter with the local 4 BAC union.

For more than 20 years, Daniel shared a strong and loving partnership with spouse Judy Underwood, providing unwavering care and support, especially as Judy lives with a disability.

Family members described Daniel as hardworking and deeply devoted, always ensuring stability and comfort at home.

The sudden loss has left loved ones grieving and facing significant challenges, prompting a fundraiser organized by Camen Underwood to assist with funeral expenses and daily living needs.
