Ryan L. Muncher, a 39-year-old husband and father of three, was tragically killed in a rollover crash in Walker County, Alabama on Monday, March 23, 2026. The incident occurred just before 8:30 p.m. on Campbellville Road near Sipsey Road, approximately seven miles east of Jasper.
Ryan, a passenger in a Lexus GX460, was ejected from the vehicle after it left the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Amanda Muncher, 37, was driving the vehicle and sustained injuries. She was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.
Ryan leaves behind his wife and three young sons, and family members have described him as a loving and devoted father and husband. His sudden passing has left the community devastated.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the chapel at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. The family continues to mourn the loss of Ryan, a man who was deeply cherished by all who knew him.
In light of this heartbreaking event, Alabama State Troopers urge all motorists to wear their seatbelts at all times, as they remain one of the most effective ways to prevent ejection and reduce the risk of fatal injuries in a crash.
