The Simpsonville community was shaken by the heartbreaking discovery of 73-year-old Gloria Jean Dobson and her 75-year-old husband, Daryl Lynn Dobson, who were found dead in their home on March 24, 2026.
The tragedy unfolded when a family member requested a welfare check, leading deputies to respond to their residence on Appian Circle. Upon entering, officers discovered both Gloria and Daryl deceased from gunshot wounds. A handgun was found near Daryl's body, and investigators suspect that Daryl shot his wife before turning the weapon on himself.
